Ramiro Albrieu is an Associate Professor of Macroeconomics and Finance at the University of Buenos Aires, and a Principal Researcher at the Centro de Implementación de Políticas Públicas para la Equidad y el Crecimiento (CIPPEC), based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is also the Director of the research program “Natural Resources and Sustainable Development in Latin America” for the South American Network of Empirical Economics (Red Sur), an Associate Researcher at the Centro de Estudios de Estado y Sociedad (CEDES), and an Associate Researcher at the Commitment to Equity Institute, Tulane University, USA. He coordinated the work of the Task Force on the future of work of the T20 under the Argentine presidency of the G20. Mr. Albrieu’s research focuses on sustainable development, technological change and workforce development in the emerging world. He works closely with leading global and regional institutions, such as the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), and the International Development Centre (IDRC), among others.
