Kevin Grieco is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. His dissertation studies the collaboration between state actors and traditional political institutions (i.e., chiefs) in the context of property tax collection in rural Sierra Leone. In other work, he is part of a team of researchers working with the Freetown City Council (Sierra Leone) on property tax reform.
